Acne scars don't fade on their own
If you had severe acne, your skin likely still bears marks that time hasn't erased. Acne scars are structural damage to the skin — they're not just on the surface. The collagen in the dermis was damaged during the inflammatory process, and the skin can't regenerate on its own.
There are different types of acne scars, and each responds better to a different treatment. Atrophic scars — the most common on the face — are divided into ice pick (deep and narrow), boxcar (defined edges), and rolling (undulating). The good news: with the right protocol, up to 70% improvement in deep scars can be achieved.
Ice pick
Deep and narrow, like small holes on the skin's surface.
Boxcar
Defined edges with a flat base, similar to chickenpox marks.
Rolling
Smooth and undulating, creating an uneven skin texture.
Hypertrophic
Raised above the skin surface due to excess scar tissue.
The type of scar determines the treatment. During your assessment, we evaluate which types you have and design the appropriate plan.
Three fractional lasers. One personalized approach.
Having three complementary fractional laser systems is uncommon. Most clinics in Cali have one. We have Alma Hybrid, Pixel CO₂, and Fraxel — giving us the flexibility to adapt treatment to each case instead of using a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Alma Hybrid
The cornerstone of the protocol. Combines fractional CO₂ laser with Erbium 1570nm laser in a single shot — treating the surface and deep layers simultaneously. Superior results with less recovery time than conventional ablative lasers.
Ideal for
Moderate to severe atrophic scars. Suitable for most skin phototypes.
Combined protocol with PRP
Depending on your case, we complement fractional laser with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to accelerate collagen regeneration. The combination of laser technologies with PRP enhances results in deep scars.
Ideal for
Deep boxcar or rolling scars requiring maximum collagen stimulation.
Pixel CO₂ / Fraxel
For cases requiring intensive resurfacing (Pixel CO₂) or a more gradual approach with less recovery (Fraxel). We integrate them into the protocol when the clinical evaluation calls for it.
Ideal for
Mild to moderate scars or skin requiring progressive treatment.
The exact protocol depends on your clinical evaluation. We define it together during your free assessment.
